So the song is about a flashback on a past relationship that failed in the end. However, looking back, one decides to focus on the positives the two went through and realize that, even though the two didn't last, their relationship was a good thing. Taylor explains it in Good Morning America (as well as all her other songs in the album). I really like this track. Behind the heavy bass and drums, there's a serene vibe to it that lives up to the title of the song. What intrigues me is the background vocals. When Taylor sings the second chorus, you can hear the back-up singers singing a catchy tune. Anyone else hear something like "Holy, Holy Hallelujah"? Just a thought. |
