IMO this song is about how boring society is and how everyone's taught to be the same. "You and I are underdosed and we're ready to fall Raised to be stupid, taught to be nothing at all." We're not "drugged" up enough to do what people want us to. We're raised to believe lies, and taught that we can't do anything. "Norm life baby We're rehabbed and we're ready For our 15 minutes of shame." You have to be "normal", follow everyone else to be famous. "I don't like the drugs but the drugs like me I don't like the drugs, the drugs the drugs I don't like the drugs but the drugs like me I don't like the drugs, the drugs the drugs There's a hole in our soul that we filled with dope And we're feeling fine." He's comparing God to drugs while saying that drugs fill his soul rather than God, and he's feeling fine. |
