Having my fair share of battles with drugs, this song is beyond accurate. And yeah, I agree that the song is probably about drug users in general, spoken from the perspective of a friend of an addict, with Cobain references for obvious reasons. "I'd like to help you out but things are rather tough" - he really wants to help his friend out, but an addict doesn't make that terribly easy, and so you end up feeling rather helpless as you watch your friend struggling with their addiction. |
