This song is so beautiful. I think he's talking about how his love for whomever he wrote the album about seemed like a dream, and in his love-struck dream his relationship seemed real. This whole album is so introspective and sad, it kind of bums me out to listen to it. Still beautiful, though, and wonderful to listen to when I'm feeling down. |

I love this song. I saw them live in Austin at a church (a church! There were pews!) and Nick ran up to the pulpit to start singing this, and danced around the stage. It was fantastic. Everything stopped right before the last stanza and they all just walked off stage until we started cheering for an encore. It was one of the best songs of the night (except for Swans, of course). |
