I always presumed that "the color black means it's time to die" was a reference to Logan's Run, where the crystal in everyone's hand turning black meant your time was up. Presumably the androids in this world are alloted a predetermined lifespan. |

This song appears to be a narration by the Greek Chorus that shows itself throughout the album as backup singers (notice how most BGs are third person?). This becomes most obvious when you hear lines like "She wonders if she is/ he wonders if he is the one" which later gets echoed by "I wonder if I am/ I wonder if I am the one" Both characters are questioning their role in the events, and their importance. |
