| Such a good song. To me, the band is singing about that bittersweet feeling when you look back on times when you were younger and in love for the first time. You never forget your first love; they're always a part of you. My first love and I were together for six years. Broke up last October. I'll never forget him. The lyrics in this song are spot on. The first person who stole your heart will always be with you. And even when you move on or find someone new, you will still find yourself wondering whatever happened to them or if they still occasionlly think of you, too. | |

I know the song is probably about a one night stand, but that one verse almost sounds like a rape. Like, "don't stop" and "don't talk" ? |

It really describes how long-distance relationships work. It's always unpredictable. You're calling to say Happy birthday instead of being there to help blow out the candles, holidays suck because you're apart, and never knowing when you're going to see the one you love is the worst. |

| I think a lot of the songs on this album have a lot to do with how leaving and being away from loved ones to be on the road affects the band personally. Obviously the person he's leaving behind is skeptical about whether he will really be coming back. It sounds like she has gotten used to him being on the road and away at shows, so she's not really expecting anything to change. But basically he's telling her that being with her is where he feels most comfortable and that he isn't going to give up on the relationship, even if she does. Everything he does is for her, and one day he will come home to her and never leave her again. | |

| The first verse sounds like he's away from the one he loves because he's on the road with his band to be at shows. The flashiing cameras meaning the crowd is taking pictures while their band is playing on stage. Basically he is wondering what she would think about where he is and just can't get her out of his head. Maybe him and this girl were in a relationship that ended, and he just can't get over her. The line about him looking back on the two of them making love on his bed is pretty self-explanitory. He's thinking of her lips and how much he wants to kiss her again. It sounds like he doesn't want her to move on until he does, though. I'm not sure what the part about her being lost in outer space means? I've always wondered. But the last verse before the chorus almost makes it sound like she has passed away, which could mean outer space represents Heaven. "I've taken all I can and I keep taking just the same / I guess I'll die another day" sounds like he's been trying to kill himself to be with her again by taking pills but isn't successful in ending his life. | |
