Mean people suck. You suck with regard to that comment. Who someone sleeps with does not make him a 'man" or less of a man. The song could be about a young man who gets a young girl pregnant, and he must tell his parents and take responsibility for the life he created. I'm not sure what it's about, but I have gay male friends who are wondeful MEN. |

Gee...someone making sense on this page. Thank you. The song is whatever anyone wishes to hear, and unless the singer said it's about his bisexuality there is NOTHING from the lyrics that would point in that specific direction. (And he maight not like people claiming he's something he may not be.) There's no such thing as bisexuality other than the confusion or impulsive nature one has with regard to sexuality. Have met MANY bisexuals over my lifetime and not one was born bisexual; their atittudes about sex were simply liberal. They were oriented toward one gender, but would sleep with either sex by choice (often when under the influence of alcohol). I don't believe it's about suicide. I think it's about someone feeling so beaten down that s/he finally raises her arms and says, "F-it. I don't give a sh*t anymore." Being fat isn't always a disability, although it tends to disable superficial people. Perhaps your parents and others meant well, but didn't know how to say it so you would/could understand their true intent. And perhaps no matter how they said it you would have been offended. Nobody (including me) likes to hear the truth. We tend to want it watered down or not said at all. The best doctor I ever had was a woman who stepped in for just the day; took a look at me and said, "You're fat. Do you plan on being around for children's graduation." It hurt like heck, but it caused me to lose 80 lbs after that meeting. Hones to God...true story. |

I think you've read too much into the song. It's a fantastic song, though. I believe it's about a man's low self-esteem; self-doubt; and fear. He believes he is bad for her not because he actually is, but he believes it for it keeps him from having to act. It's his "way out", so to speak. |
