This song was originally inspired by the Romeo and Juliet movie starring Claire Danes and Leonardo Di Caprio. It tells the story of two lovers who can't seem to be together in the life that they live so they run away to live their lives together without anyone telling them what they can and can't do and no one to stop them. The song was written by Amy Lee and Ben Moody. Ben described it as one of his least favorite songs that the band had written. |

This song is about desperately being in love and seeking the attention of someone who either doesn't know you exists or doesn't love you back. It could also be interpreted as a gay/lesbian person in love with a straight person. They would do anything for this person to even just pretend they love them. The song also sounds much like an obsession with a person. |

This song to me is definitely about drugs. When he sings "When you come back down", that makes me think that he knows someone, a close friend or family member, that is using drugs and he's saying to them that when they come of their highs and stop using the drugs, they are welcome to come back to him. I also think that he doesn't really want a close relationship with them anymore until they become sober because of the line, "I think it's time to just move on." He's also telling them that he isn't going to be like everyone else and just leave them. He's going to be there for them when they are better and help them start a new life. |
