I definitely took the line "Your shape on the dance floor/Will have me thinking such filth I gauge my eyes" as sexual, lending "You'd be damned to be one of us girl" to mean that men are damned because of their out-of-control sexual impulses. I agree that "Faced with a dodo's conundrum" implies that the speaker wants to fly but cannot, but also dodo's were kind of stupid so I think that this lyric was commenting that when faced with sexual temptation, people become completely powerless and stupid. |
