F-off. Apparently someone has returned to town. LMBO I bet you brush your teeth the same way and the same number of strokes three times daily and over the last 40 years. Pretty much sums up your life. |

LOL "When I try to face you, you're walking away." Man, words hold such strange meanings. I wonder if the singer TRULY believes the sh*t he spouts. So much for book smart. It obviously ain't what it used to be... |

A song about a guy who has to leave for one of three reasons: 1) His girlfriend returns to town tomorrow 2) His girlfriend is at the club waiting 3) He's on the prowl for his next girlfriend. Yeah, that's why he must leave. LOL. |

That's funny 'cause I thought it was a song about fat women...you know the kind...the kind nobody wants. Well, most don't. Sometimes their desperate ugly selves get lucky...some poor drunk slob has nobody left so he takes one home for the night. LOL. We cannot all be physically beautiful, now can we. Oh well, we DO survive...somehow. |

GREAT song. Very creative. As for Jesus, he knew Judas. He loved Judas. He knew what to expect from him. Judas did not surprise him. Judas also gave Jesus his worse, and as the biblical story goes, Jesus survived Judas. We've each had a Judas in our lives...friends, lovers, spouses, relatives, etc. I have been knocked down and counted as out, but from the ashes I emerged...a bit battered and a little less trusting, but nevertheless survived. I know that there is nothing anyone could do to me that's worse than what I already survived. Nothing. |

Major eye roll, but with a smile. Just how many people know anything about Galileo Galilei? I love bright people; they tend to think the masses are able to think on their level. Is Galileo the one who dropped an apple to gauge...well, something? Dang, now I want an apple... |

| Radiohead – Fake Plastic Trees Lyrics

Great band. Good song about a person who does not find herself valuable (or valuable enough). She believes she would have to put on an act to please the other person...that she couldn't just be herself. I think she lost herself long ago. Instead of valuing all her amazing attributes and successes, she concentrates on her failings...her warts. She holds no trust for people and therefore cannot understand how who she is (the real her...the good, the bad, and the ugly) could be desired unless she can wear a mask. Her mask is difficult to remove, but I have an idea the woman in the song is overall stunning...that the qualities she does have that make her shine (genuine shine...not the qualities created to manipulate) are so incredibly special and unique that they make her worth all the hurdles her insecurities cause her to create so people will stay at arm's length. What is fake and plastic about her is her game. What is beautiful is her soul, only she cannot see it. She believes others will dump her the moment she faulters or fails for she has no faith in others, just as she has no faith in herself. She cannot trust and never will trust; therefore, she will always have what she has now. She will always get the same results. All successes will be temporary. All relationships will be fleeting. But she'll go with that because it's less challenging emotionally and she can always replace lovers...her physical beauty along with her brains and her game will ensure a long never-ending line of potential lovers. The last line of the song is at the root of the entire song's meaning: she doesn't like herself, cannot imagine that anyone could like (much less love) the real person under the mask; and she is too emotionally frightened to try for she believes she'll end up losing someone she actually loves. VERY sad song about a very sad attitude, but what cha gonna do. Nothing anyone can do except eventually walk away and leave her to her choices. |

Lots of abusive relationships being written about on this site. I'm gathering you've never been in one...at least not on the receiving end. But ask me how it feels to be used for a frggin' "voice" and used for compassion and kindness....then tossed aside time and time again. Yup, I've been there. And now I'm signing off 'cause I am tired of hearing non-victims claim to be victims. Look in the mirror, Sally Sue; you decided LONG ago you're not worth more than you have at this very moment. And nobody is to blame (or credit) but YOU. Ugh. Goodnight. |

Do NOT care for this artist, but this one song (of his) I adore. I love the lyrics, the beat, the instrumentals, and even his voice in this one. It's SO MUCH FUN. Then again, when you haven't had sex in years, even the crickets outside the window sound as though they're having a ball. (No pun intended....do crickets even have those things? Oh well...) GREAT song. It's on my to-do list. LOL. |

| Broken Social Scene – Anthems for a Seventeen Year Old Girl Lyrics

Y'all nuts if you think the teenage years are better than the 30's, 40's, and up. I wouldn't repeat my wild teenage years for anything as I have more fun now. All the hangups of youth (worrying about looks, status, friends, money, rules, parents, etc) are gone. There's so much more freedom that comes with age, knowledge, and wisdom. Too many older people succumb to chronological age instead of staying youthful by having great attitudes. My mum hangs with people twenty years younger and they are shocked at how youthful she is. She doesn't look it, but she has a super social life; laughs constantly; travels; and has more friends than most! There's not a day or night when she's not playing cards; going out to eat; taking trips; etc. The body may age, but the mind and spirit don't have to. As for responsiblities, ya learn to work around them...to truly let loose when you're able. Sorry, I just can't imagine liking the teenage years more. I feel more free to act stupid now when I'm not a work than I did then...when I had the responsibility of school and still answered to my parents. |

LOL. I heard she was DATING someone at that time and it was more of a joke than anything else, especially since the only thing received was a good laugh. Geesh. Now in college she was dragged into a men's room by a friend; kissed; and later went home with the chap. She wants a repeat of that, but not with either fellow ;) Lighten up, Turkey. |

I think it's about a girl (or guy) whose boyriend is out of town for a few more days; she's feeling down (as she always does this time of year); and she wants to use someone so he'll keep her company until lil' Jasmine or Nicole returns for some good lovin'. She's really not going to break any habit. She wants to repeat the cycle at his expense. And he wants none of it 'cause he knows the end result. It doesn't change. Good song. |

Beautiful song. Whitney had the voice of an angel until drugs ruined it. This song is her best or at least one of her best. It's gorgeous. To the special woman who has held my heart for a very very long time, this is for you. Yesterday's scary post showed that nothing has changed, unfortunately, and never will. But I shall take to the grave with me a love I've never been able to expain to even myself. I guess sometimes only God knows the reasons why. And nobody said life was fair; sometimes we simply don't get what we want and we have to continue to live. Just glad I know I gave it my best shot. WONDERFUL song. |

Just a song about having fun, getting laid, but at least playing it safe when it comes to driving, fighting, encountering the law, etc. Here's hoping this holiday season everyone at least plays it safe in that way.
With that said, my head's been banging against a wall all day. It's time to begin the weekend early and relax offline...enjoying the last days of Christmas decorations, music, spiked egg nog, chocolate raspberry wine; friends; the firepit; good music at the clubs; and all the post-Christmas festivities that lead into 2013...a great year in the making! Stay safe; find love (or what will turn into love) and enjoy! BE SAFE! |

Great band and song. It's a song about tossing in the towel and quitting whenever life gets harder than we think we can handle. We've all been there. Some of us more than others. It's easier to quit; to give in; to continue on the same path than it is to change. Great song. |

| Green Day – Coming Clean Lyrics

No such thing as bi. We are all orientated one way or another, not both. All bi means is that one is willing to not follow God's teachings and is willing to have sex outside conventional norms. The stigma once attached to bisexuality has gone by the way side. Family and God and morals have declined (I am just as guilty), so now everything is up for grabs. Soon sex with 1st cousins, siblings, sex with multiple people at one time, etc will all be commonplace. Just wondering what people will need for a thrill once bisexuality and the others are no longer outside the norm. How will they get their thrill? Really, though, who cares. Once sex is reduced to recreation (as it's already been done) it's nothing important. It's just a release of semen; a kiss that means little, a notch on the bedpost, and a boost to the human ego. The vast majroity of people who claim to be "bi" are gay, but afraid to admit their status for whatever reasons. Many others are simply lonely and therefore not very selective. As for gay, straight, or bi, who cares. What one does in the bedroom is between him; his hopefully consenting partner, and God. |

| Lady GaGa – LoveGame Lyrics

Obviously about a one-night stand or repeated sex with someone who doesn't really matter. It's what you see originate in bars/clubs. People will go home with anybody, and for some weird reason it's supposed to be a compliment when someone you don't know (or don't know well) asks you to accompany them home. It's happened to me a few times over the last few years and I was insulted, even though the men were very nice looking and much younger than I. I managed to just state "NO," but what I wanted to say was, "you have GOT to be kidding." I thank God often that I was born during a different time when even kissing meant something. People dated to fall in love. People postponed sex maybe not until marriage (although many did), but until they were in love and their emotional relationship was special and important to them. This idea that you can't have wild sex unless it's with someone new or the person is physically beautiful is so foreign to me. The greatest sex I ever had was while in a committed relationship, where we experimented together and learned what the other wanted and needed WHILE truly loving them emotionally. Lady Gaga is an actress...a performer...and this song is the epitome of PERFORMANCE. It's fun, but it's also fleeting, and shallow, and temporary. Nobody loves a disco stick more than I, but it had better be attached to someone whom I plan to spend a lifetime with or at least think I will spend a lifetime with. Here's to the club this weekend and some good dance tunes. And here's to be very happy to be older than most who frequent dance clubs. |

Ya think you should be dating your sister. LOL. Age is a number as long as both people are muture adults, not big teens or small children dating much older, wiser, and more dishonest adults. I'm not sure with whom YOU hang, but I have friends in their 40's and 50's who are more wild than those who believe they are truly living life in the fast lane. Once people are older, they lose their inhibiltions. They also have more money to live life as they wish. They have more opportunities due to their financial and emotional freedom, and they often know how far to take fun before being a typical stupid young person who ends up with fighting or DUI charges. I think you may need to re-think this silly notion that only teens and 20-somethings know how to party; drink; laugh; dance; take risks; have wild sex; etc. You are TRULY clueless. |
