I think the link with the concept is this: After God and the devil disappear after their final battle (the finisher) the people of the world are left to wonder what will happen next (as explained by Micah in an interview about this concept album). I think this song is written from the point of view of one of those people who were left behind and that person is trying to make a point being that the human race is and has always been sinful and driven by it. I've based on the lines: "We're going back to the darkest hours, where our kind has confirmed we are the masters of sin and slaughter". To prove this point he refers to the Nahariya attack, as explained by Cycledown777. That's all I could come up with. I wondered it myself |
