Kraftwerk – Die Roboter Lyrics 14 years ago
I love Kraftwerk. Just a note: "Ya tvoi sluga, ya tvoi rabotnik" is Russian, meaning "I am your servant, I am your worker"

Respectfully disagree, listen closely and you can tell the lyric is "f*** it up" not "f***ing whore." Check the very good lyrics correction above.

Why can't a band make a song about social security? You do realize what a colossal social issue it's going to become in the next few years, right? The Baby Boomers are leaving the workforce en masse, Generation X has wholly failed at picking up their slack, and now a ruined world is falling into the hands of Generation Y (or whatever you wish to call it, which the members of this band are undoubtedly a part of), so what are we to do? Can't you be angry about how little control you have over the planet you're inheriting? Doesn't seem totally unfair? Maybe you don't feel the same way, but just typing this and thinking about it makes me want to rage. It's not far-fetched for modern musicians to take this tack with their music. It seems like a great theme, and I'm just here expressing my opinion about a good, thoughtful song from a talented band.

Just because an alternative rock group comes up with a raging song doesn't always mean it's about angst or depression.

I also think this is a song about retirees, social security, and pensioners cleverly disguised. It just adds up to me: The rat race (I don't think he's saying "rafts"), you don't sign up for social security since you're given a number when you're born, what you receive in pension isn't half of what you gave in terms of years stress or blood, etc.

This song just rages so hard, it's awesome. I like to imagine that MC Rut wrote this song while thinking about Walt Kowalski from Gran Torino, this seems to match him perfectly.
