| Honestly I think its about conforming to what the "Higher Ups" in society want, be it "religious" people who promote hate and intolerance, government attacking entertainment or even an individual's peer group pressuring them to do something, hence the repeated references to slavery. | |

From the Description of the video on YouTube: 'The song is very plainly written about the people who abuse God's name by using it to profit or cause harm to others emotionally or physically, but it's even more importantly written as a call to arms to ANY person in this world to come stand together to fight the ignorance that halts the progression of mankind.' I think that speaks for itself. |

I don't believe this song has any anti-Christian sentiment, although that may be because I am a Christian. It targets the self-righteous 'Christians' who judge people by their appearance and interests, in contradiction to their religious teachings, questioning whether people deserve damnation for something as simple as a different taste in music, movies, attire etc. The term "Sweet Blasphemy" refers to loving somethings that is said to be 'evil' by the self-righteous(blasphemy), the people who enjoy the 'evil' things find solace and enjoyment (sweet) in it. Again this i from the perspective of a Christian Metal-head so take from it what you will... |
