| Coldplay – Talk Lyrics | 13 years ago |

Well, everyone's already covered most of it, but I'm going to go ahead and ramble on anyway... I think, like others, that this song is about being uncertain and lost. Maybe because you're confused by problems and situations that are taking place, or because everything is piling up and you don't know where to go from there. I can relate to this song on a personal level, like a lot of people surely can too. The lines that I really liked were 'Well I feel like they're talking in a language I don't speak, and they're talking it to me.' This person is seeking advice from people and they're giving him ideas, telling him what he can do, but he can't see them helping at all. He tries what they say and nothing changes. I especially like how it says 'talking IT to me.' The 'it' is significant, because they're not talking to him, they're talking IT to him. This again emphasizes the feeling of confusion. There's more to talk about, but I can't be bothered to write any more. All I can say is that this is a beautiful song that helps me a lot. I love Coldplay so much.:) |

| Three Days Grace – It's All Over Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| This is one of my favourite songs by Three Days Grace. I see the lyrics as someone watching someone close to them fall apart with addictions to alcohol and drugs and seeing them give up and stop fighting to live life. | |

I love these lyrics - the new BT Infinity advert brought me here, and I'm so glad I came across this song. I'm not too good at this kind of thing, but when I listened to the lyrics to me it seemed to me that it was written about some kind of relationship/friendship ending or or two people growing apart. I think the person who is singing this maybe holds onto or misses their other half, more than they are missing them. The lines 'Overcast, by yours shadow, as our worlds move on' suggest that the person writing or singing this is still caught up in this person, but is now in their shadow and therefore out of their thoughts and heart. 'I am lost' is a line that is repeated often in this song. I think this once again backs up my point about this person feeling alone now that their family/friend/lover has left. The lyrics 'I did send you a note on the wind for to read' and 'To the depths of the soil buried deep in the ground' to me suggest that this person thinks their relationship was meant to be and that they weren't supposed to part. The mentions of nature make me think that the person writing/singing thinks it is natural and should be. Just an idea...:) |
