I love this song :) The vocals sound vaguely Tracy Chapman-ish at points. |

I thought it was morning suit, like what you'd wear to a funeral, for some reason... |

I really, really love this song, so much better than her other stuff I think. It's very emotionally powerful. Personally, I think it's about a girl in an abusive relationship, with a very possessive, aggressive partner. She probably has OCD or some other anxiety disorder (relating to the verse about the overwhelming decision over the box of crackers), and he is making it worse, pressurising her. Her partner is controlling her, but she can't leave. Marina really captures that feeling of anxiety. |

Aaah I love that film- it has such a beautiful soundtrack. Jason Schawrtzman is hilarious. Coconut records is ridiculously underrated |

I just love the way his voice breaks at the end of "flicking through a little book of sex tips", he sounds quite sad. This is one of my favourites, the Arctic Monkeys at their best |

I love this song. I think it's about a man who loves someone so much that he wouldn't mind dying, as long as they were together. But he is too afraid to tell the other person how much he adores them. |

I love the lyrics, they're very clever, especially:
yeah, but his bird says it's amazing though
so all that's left
is the proof that loves not only blind but deaf
&
all the weekend rockstars in the toilets practising their lines

I think it's about how so much was expected of the strokes based on Is This It. Then they couldn't improve upon the first album, and although the next three were very good, they were criticised for not getting better. They are fed up of not being recognised for their later work. Then they wondered why they should bother anymore, and that's why the strokes took so long to reunite |
