I think its about life...just the things some choose to ignore. The things that don't cut it for the 11 oclock news the daily lives of a lot of people. I thought how funny it was how the line "girl if you would let, I'll take your pants off I got a little bit of blow we could both get off" sounds sooo romanitic for some reason. I bet a lot of people would think that was truely romantic if thats all they have known. The line "neighbors beating his wife because he hates his life" tears me apart. |

I love this song it's probably my favorite off of keep it like a secret. I thought it was about a relationship that broke up and after they tried to make it work they realized it "didn't add up" or wasn;t worth it. So the guy see's how she is changing towards the end of the relationship He sais he is surprized by some of the things she is doing. And then when they are completely over she changes completely "you have become what you thought was dumb" and then he tries to make up with her but the relationship os so delicate they "can't eve touch it or it will fall apart" Great Cd if you don't have it get it

This song is one of my favorite off of pinkerton but lets face it, I say that about almost every song. I love the Japanese theme in the album. Yeah and about Maladroit your right it does means like pathetic in french but it also means bungling in English. |
