| This is about an abusive relationship from the perspective of the victim/survivor. "I'd wear your black eyes" "All I want in my life/ is to DIE a housewife". This is about desiring to be abused. If you know anything about abusive relationships or have studied the dynamics of such, this is a very common feeling for those who have been abused. This is not a song about the "true devotion" of women's love, but it goes to show you how many people ignore the abusive lyrics of this song just as they do in their own lives. I do not think this is a satire or sarcastic, I think it is an earnest depiction of that feeling. I don't think it's meant to shame or mock, it's meant to give a voice and a space to this feeling which is not a pretty one and is not one that people like to hear. Vianna brought up a good quote, and if you look at the other songs that they have made--for instance, the remake of "I wanna f*ck you" to "you want to f*ck me" is all about coming from the women's point of view who was a victim of sexual abuse. It's not necessarily glorifying, but it isn't silencing and ignoring the reality of the feelings/situation either. | |

| VICTIM BLAMING ALERT. Seriously? Why not ask why someone would hit her, instead of blaming the victim of abuse? Please google victim blaming and educate yourself so that you don't instill even more shame on victims of abuse, including yourself if you are a survivor. | |

The site I got these lyrics from above wasn't from mika miko, so not for sure that those are correct, although they seem more correct than the ones above... |
