I think she is expressing her distaste in a relationship she has with someone. She feels as though they are smothering her and watching her every move waiting for her to make a mistake hence the " I can not take your whispering". Dance represents the idea of being free/liberated and the line " I wanna dance without you" is an indication that she wants to be her own person and be able to act without worrying about what they think. |

This song is so poignant and I've struggled with the meaning for a long time but I perceive it to be about a couple that have been together for a really long time and are now growing apart. They both love each other very much but are harbouring their unhappiness which is destroying their relationship further. They know that their relationship is coming to an end but don't want to admit it because being with each other is the only way they know how. I think they resent each other for changing and not being the same person they fell in love with. The line "I don't love you but I always will" shows that they have fallen out of love with the person their partner has become but ultimately will always love them. I'm not sure how much sense that made but that's my interpretation! |

This song is really great and uplifting. I agree with the view that the first verse highlights our society's struggle with life-threatening diseases but the rest of the song leaves me confused. I'm sure there is some sort of underlying message but part of the reason why I love it so much is that it doesn't make any sense. |
