Based on the Deadwing concept, i think that this song is about David's mother talking about her life, or death. It tells us how we shouldn't take life for granted and that death could come at any moment. |

Deadwing is not about incest. Deadwing is about ghosts and their effect on the living, particularily David. David is confronted by a ghost, possibly his dead mother, who tells him either about her parents or his father. Steven Wilson writes about some screwed up stuff, but not incest whatsoever. |
