Phantogram – 10,000 Claps Lyrics 14 years ago
This song sounds like this artist is crying for help. A slave to the music industry making the power rich (10,000 claps). People blindly worshiping a false idol, she calls her fans ''rats'' all waiting in line and she can care less. And yet, she is miserable and going to end up alone (10,000 cats referring to the old lady who lives alone with cats). She is a slave to the music industry, slaving her life away, and as time is passing by (seasonal change, stars rearrange), so is her joy of possibly being able to live a real meaningful life.

Well this is what happens when you sell your soul to the devil. This is a cry for help. I heard her other songs...and its just so sad. I cant believe people still choose to romanticize this song into something that is not.

Phantogram – When I'm Small Lyrics 14 years ago
By the way, ''Lucy'' aka as Lucifer, has a mouth to feed... and you are feeding it by supporting his music.

I personally do not support any music that is deceitful, mind controlling. has subliminal messages, and so on...

I know many of us are young and just rather ''feel'' than think...but i beg all of you to stop and seriously analyse a lot of garbage main stream media puts out there for us to blindly follow and in some sense worship... FREE YOUR MIND AND SAVE YOUR SOUL... music is just not music..it is actually very powerful...be a CRITICAL THINKER...

Phantogram – When I'm Small Lyrics 14 years ago
The voice and rhythm of this song takes you away in some trance when you listen to it, it feel amazing right? But what do the lyrics mean? It is actually a sinister song. You see, the name of the group says it all. A phantogram is a form of optical illusion, and so are the lyrics to this song. When the singer says ''Lucy'' it means ''Lucifer''. The song is a battle of whether she decides whose side is she in. Is she underground, in the flames, is she in deep with the dark side? Or is she in the middle...just putting testing the waters. Although at the end she says, ''I would rather die, than be with you''...well that is just plain contradictory and useless. Why? Because after a person listens to the whole song, its subliminal messages have already worked its magic and have been embedded in your right brain...so even if someone says..''oh this song aint that bad because she refuses Lucy-fer at the end'' Well actually it is.

It will be sad to read some of your comments romanticizing this song into something it is not. Sometimes optical illusion are not that deceitful if you take see them for what they are, an illusion. In this case, this song is an illusion for a love/melodramatic song...but just look at the words and how obvious it is. It is a sinister song and shameful how music has been infiltrated to control your soul.
