I believe the song is just about a guy who is sleeping with someone's wife. The song is a sort of admission of the affair to a third party. There is ingenious ambiguity about the identities of the people in and around the affair. Lines like "Mr. please.... I'm just like you" make me think of another Henry Wolfe's song "Someone Else", with the implications that perhaps this song is an admission to himself of being cheated on, or something like that. It's all about perspectives and how one can justify things to themselves and others. "You see what you wanna see" |
