This is one of my favourite songs. It's utter brilliance. 'And every night I think I certainly won't ever sleep sober or alone, and then suddenly it occurs to me, I've slept alone before you' How a person can put such words together is beyond me. To me this is obviously about an ex, that he is still madly in love with, and can't handle that, so he drowns this out of his mind with alcohol or other women, and also that we as humans have grew so much, but we can't enjoy the life that we should because we 'need to get paid' |
