Cancer Bats – Hail Destroyer Lyrics 12 years ago
Anyone ever seen fight club? This song has lots of references to it. Watch it, a great film.

-'Children of nothing' refers to the generation of fatherless children
-'hail destroyer' refers to project mayhem, which creates chaos and mayhem and in the end destroys the financial district, meaning everything (credit, debt) is set to zero.
-'when you have nothing you appreciate so much' refers to the narrator losing his condo full of expensive designer stuff and the line "it's only when you have nothing you are free to do anything"
-'keep me incomplete' refers to the line "I say never be complete, I say stop being perfect, let the chips fall where they may"
-'when fate just pushes us along' ie. the capitalist mode of living your life in some ways boxes you in and you can only move along a pre-determined path, being 'pushed along by fate' in a sense.

You could also say that it's about hitting the bottom (Another theme of fight club) like Bats21 says, and the atheist element is fairly clear. In Fight Club they are not atheists but the believe that God doesn't like them (since their fathers are their only models for god and all their fathers left them bastards), so you could go down that route.

Anyway, that's just my take - it isn't fact.

You are not your fucking Khakis
