| That is some messed up, sick shit, man. You need to take a long shower, and wash all the filth off you, man. Your own mother will shake her head, and wonder where the hell she went wrong with you. I have few gay friends, (insert homo joke now), but at least they have the good sense to shut the hell up about they're experiences. If your trying to get a rise out of metal heads, cos you like the spice girls, or ricky martin, or david hasselhoff, good for you. But, shit, man. Easy on the weirdness. You're just confirming what we all know...That your a sick puppy that still lives in his mothers basement, jacking off at posters of moviestars, thinking your the shit. Take your weekly allowance, and go buy some class. Or a clue. That shit about 'gay guys always wear cologne, and smell nice' tells us about your social status. So go buy some 'cologne' its friday. And try not to get yourself killed out there... | |

Wow...This is some of the most fucked up shit i've read in a while. Especially DarkenRahl with his 'semen dripping from the anus' bit. WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU SMOKING? Like Richard said, the title is supposed to be Bruce-style humour. The rest is a alternative look at the dresden and hiroshima bombings. Dresden had school, churches and such. No industrial value - if you know your history. Same thing with nagasaki and hiroshima. The allies were saying 'Look at how powerful we are - stop the war or else...' And it worked. The allied bombers had nightmares about this shit - killing innocent people and such. Serves them right, cos it sparks the thoughts 'is it right to kill women and children, because some mental dictator runs deathcamps?' No. It's kinda fucked up, your proving to be no better than your enemy. And thats what the song is about. Double standards ' look, we're the allies - give us your oil, or die...' (Iraqi war) |

| This is about Bruce's view of religion. I.e. its a waste of time, and that if you live life for yourself, you'll have meaning. 'Take my eyes, the things i've seen' he urges you to look at it from his point of view. Bruce being a man who like the occult, and all things science related, can't grasp the idea of afterlife and such, cause it can't be explained by science. Before you wereborn, you were nothing, and when you die, your nothing again - type shit. Don't get me wrong, i dig this tune (agree to disagree), but this is a super bleak outlook on religion, and how it's a waste of time, cos only when you live for yourself, will you have a life worth living, 'life to live, or one thats left to lose'. He speak of 'the chains of misery' so to speak. The preacher giving you rules to live by, but if you elevate your thinking 'startripping' you'll see that there's no promise of afterlife, just 'the darkened void beyond'. Therefore, when the narrator dies, 'religions cruel device is gone'... because he realises he's been 'endlessly decieved'. As i said, a super bleak outlook on religion. I guess its easier to believe the 'big bang'. My point of view, bacteria to rot, to fly to larvae, to life again (or whatever) and all that science stands for, kinda fits in perfectly, doesn't it? I.e. no oxygen, no life, no bacteria, no rotting, no clouds, no water, kinda works like its been planned out by someone. No? All coinsidence? Kinda like science is a tool to understand it all? Nothing more? Well, everyone is entitled to an opinion. Kickass tune, though. Masterful writing. | |

| They're singing about the way we all feel toward the law. Esp in the states, and britain. There it's forbidden to take the law in your own hands. You're supposed to let the cops do their work. Here in africa no one gives a fuck. You tell the cop you shot some dude that was breaking in your house, they urge you to go for the kill. They really can't stand paperwork. As long as you are the only one with a side to the story, and the other guy can't talk anymore, they're cool. Unless you shot him like 5 times. Then your in trouble. I know a dude who shot a guy, and he got a reference to a psychiatrist. Some crackhead tried to make away with the tv, and got planted by a semi auto shotgun. The guy was a little weird after that, but thats besides the point. He just told the cops that he feared for his childrens' safety. Truth is he was fed up with always getting robbed. Soon as he saved enough money to buy some new shit, someone burgaled him. Like clockwork. Here they put empty beerbottles outside your yard - it serves as a signal that the specific house has some cool stuff, and is potensially an easy target. I suppose life is different over here. | |

| I can't remember what site it was, but this dude was talking about the feeling of pumping the car stereo shouting FREEDOM! when this song plays. I thought i was the only nutcase out there, laughing at the look on pedestrians faces at this maniac waving his fist around, shouting freedom. Classic! | |

| Bleak. Those two that poison themselves, because they're too scared to look outside incase of nuclear fallout. Makes you think about the media, and how they (as octavarium put it...damn you..lol) overindulge in a potential disaster. It gets me thinking how easy we fall for it. ( Ex. the world will end in 2012 december whatever...i know so many people that actually believe it. ) Who knows why the mayans ended their calender on that date? But there are many other such stories, and the trick, i suppose is to know which one is right, or true. So, shut up, live your life the way you were ment to, and do the best you can, is what i took from it... | |
| Iron Maiden – Coming Home Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| This song always makes me think of the feeling i get when i arrive home from my travels. Bruce says it so perfectly at the end of the chorus "Where i've been tonight, you know i will not stay"... Albion is a reference to England. Also his love for England comes through when he talks of the misty dawn. No country on earth has that continuios fog thing you get in London. Songs like this goes best when you miss home. Just you, your ipod, and the quietness of night. Man, i love this band. | |
