Do I still cross your mind? Your face still distorts the time this is the most important part of the song as it links music and lyrics together. right before he asks "do i still cross your mind" the music takes on a different note alltogether. do you even think about me? but in my head your face is still giving me thoughts (that i may be over-thinking) it sounds as if the warping sounds themselves are asking questions. those warping noises are the raw emotions themselves. basically the speaker is in a vacuum by himself. he lives within his head...how can he know the reality when the clues tell him something else. everything is in perspective. we live through perspective. |

With heat struck afternoons long through Those idle dreams go back to you The echo seems so low displaced Everything that's not your face, I'm drifting off to during long afternoons he daydreams about her. he is in a room looking around but at the same time thinking about her. he looks at different objects but the "echo" of her face remains in his consciousness. boy of infiltrations That what was made of constellations that I've saw Was this only in my head Just like most things go misread When overthought he sees things in "constellations"(symbolic objects) that make him think of the possibility of him being with her. but all of it is only in his head. he feels like he is misreading "clues" because he over-thinks them. |

the music goes very well with it in that it enhances what the lyrics say (or vice versa depending on your perspective) It's been at least another year And still I haven't got the chance to say Always rolling off the tongue Never said but nearly sung about a million ways the only way he seems to get his feelings about a girl out is through music. Every photograph and story Trickled through the lengthy web of friends I overthought but understood Distant looks but looking good And not the other way facebook comes to mind with "lengthy web of friends" and how he sees the girl in pictures and comments. he thinks deeply about the girl but he understands her feelings for him. she gave him distant looks(this seems to be a theme in palomos songs)-as in she was thinking about him "but looking good" in a good way-she is interested. however (distant) could mean possible looks-in another time they could be together. "not the other way"-not at other guys. definitely him. she fails to remember- he thinks deeply about things that most would overlook. |

but its even bigger man. i mean i know im pulling for stuff but i think it has to do with some sort of time travel. what does "distant looks" mean? distant looks from your face-carry me to another place(the looks of her face transport him) to a place where they where never found. a. a place in their relationship or b. a period in time and history. maybe in another period in time they are one. i'd like to compare these lyrics and their contexts to deadbeat summer and how he "imagines" spending time with a girl during his summer. |

the lyrics and music brought tears to my eyes "while i am contemplating sounds"-genius lyrics. sounds are a textual substance in the vacuum the speaker lives in. "distant looks from your face take me to another place"-her looks and her appearance take him on a journey of nostalgia. "a place where we were never found"- i am currently researching this line: to a vacuum as stated earlier? or is the speaker a man who has the visions of time periods. as we take the nostalgia of a world once remembered and transport there were "we were never found" |

sunburnt eyes roll- beautiful girl that rolls her eyes at him. she is shallow and does not understand his deep philosophical ideas. part of me wants to watch and laugh as they go up in smoke- he will prove her wrong and when he does, he will be happy. she needs an excuse to end things-you have proven her wrong and now she wants to end things basically the song represents a boy(18-20) who is into a girl that is shallow. she does not take him seriously at all and therefore she calls him a "joke". he will prove her wrong with his ability to craft "something" and she will not want to accept it, therefore she will "end things". |
