I know this might be very far off,but it's my interpretation of this song (one of my favorite Regina songs!). I simply think that the song is about everyone deserving to be loved, and how there's a good person inside of every mean one and they deserve a hug too. When she sings "And if you are a deity of any sort, then please don't go" and "if you are the ghost of Christmas past, then won't you stay the night?" it seems to me like she's accepting all people. Even the Ghost of Christmas Past who's made up to be a creepy figure, our narrator can see past that and into the person's heart. Come as you are, basically, and you'll be accepted by the narrator. |

Well, I think Replicas is simply frustration at the robots he can't reason with. "The police came" "I said it was me And I just walked away" He knows it's no use trying to make the clones understand he's a individual without them antagonizing him. But then, he walks away, knowing that nothing comes through to them. That's just my opinion. |

Well, for The Noise (which is one of my favorite songs on the album) is that it's about some disturbance or some bad thought that keeps someone awake and how it keeps blaring in their mind. Or I thought it could be about how little kids get easily scared by noises in the dark and how they think something is seriously wrong, but "the preacher wouldn't care" for the child's plea's as in people think it's silly. |

| This song is obviously about a relationship and the shaky and rough future to come. Sure, in this heat of the moment (sex) this relationship seems great and amazing, but the aftershock is it just goes downhill from there and the narrator is worried. | |

I can't believe no one commented on this song yet! It's my favorite b-side and Kate's best in my opinion. To me, The Empty Bullring is about a man and a woman, the man seems to have pride issues. He lives his woman to go prove that he has pride and he's strong. But the woman does not care about this at all, all she wants is for him to be home and safe. I see examples of this in 'You are going to the empty bullring" usually, a sport to prove how without fear a man has, "Taking your red cloak, to regain something" he wishes to regain his dignity and pride. But that's just my interpretation. Or it could simply be about a bull fighter trying to prove to the world he is strong, fearless and wise. |
