Apparently you know nothing about Peter Steele and his tongue-in-cheek attitude. This was the first Type O Negative song that got me into the group (the first one I heard was Halloween In Heaven) and I can identify quite a bit with this song and the album it was on. Peter Steele wrote a lot about addiction, love, and loss, and this is one of the best examples of that trend of writing.

Geezer Butler is amazing. I don't agree with his beliefs, but I respect his lyrics and his musicianship. He did some excellent bass playing on Black Sabbath's albums.
