Foster the People – Miss You Lyrics 14 years ago
Pretty certain it's about a guy who purposefully overdosed on drugs to kill himself. He's reflecting on a past love as the drugs kick in:

"Lay it down, they start up"
"I'm all spun and pacing"
"I never knew that I could go as far as this"
"Feverish and peaking, just want to see your face"

I'd say suicide is definitely considered here ("I took a sip of something poison") but I think it's more about getting back up when you're down. The "hug the prison I've been living in" line seems to suggest that he accepts his lot in life, even though he acknowledges that suicide makes more sense. After all, who goes to the pawn shop ("hit the pawn up on the corner") and pays rent if they're about to kill themselves?
