This song was featured in the movie, "WR: Mysteries of the Organism", a film based on the life and trials of Wilhelm Reich. Reich pursued the idea of sexual repression as the root cause of violence. In the film, Tuli Kupferberg of the Fugs appears in an army helmet masturbating an assault rifle and telegraphing the meaning of the song, which is that killing and militarism in general are what happens when orgiastic potency is frustrated. |
