I do not think that OAR is the greatest band in any regard, but I do like a couple of things about them: I find them very entertaining and I think that they are AMAZING live. Case in point, I find this song really meh, live (especially the version from "rain or shine") is spectacular. Are the lyrics of the song rather self-promoting? Yes Is it a particularly good story? Not really, but I just like it. |

I just watched the music video for U2's "The Fly", and one of the text phrases seen during the song is the phrase "everything you know is wrong". Weird Al's next song on Bad Hair Day after "Everything You Know is Wrong" is Cavity Search, a parody of U2's "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me". Somewhat obscure reference to U2 the song before a U2 parody: Coincidence? |

Poster comments: I hope no one is confused by this. Pap and Chuck (Shirock's vocalists) at some points in the song sing different lines at the same time. I tried to clarify this using CHUCK: (lines)/PAP: (lines) the "BOTH:" at the end was just for clarification for the last line compared to the previous line. |

I think that this is the point in the album where it becomes less a collection of songs, and more of a complete work, specifically at the lines "and I'm headed for a breakdown". However, I think Say it Out and Still Young are the songs that stand up better outside of the context of the album, whereas Man Inside needs the songs before and after it to have it's impact. (not necessarily listening to the whole album at once, but you have to have done that at some point to fully 'get' the song) |
