| Oceansize – Home & Minor Lyrics | 9 years ago |
| I agree ... I love this song so much. Every little layer of the song adds a special touch to the sound, it would almost be a sin to only pay attention to one part of it. The drum pattern is chill but interesting, the guitar makes me curious (such as the swells), the vocals and everything else gives makes this song feel like a spacey story to me. I think Home & Minor is my favorite Oceansize album (I like them all). | |

| I read somewhere that this song is about Anne Frank and/or the Holocaust. Think about it, read the lyrics. See how they fit. | |
| Hammock – Parkers Chapel Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| From what I gather, it seems like the speaker in these lyrics is having memories of a past friend who commited suicide. I believe I remember reading that the songwriter lost a friend to suicide. God bless their souls... | |
| Barcelona – You Will Pull Through Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
I've separated my life from truth; This cold air tastes real; I've stumbled back. I'm back, my lamp is almost burned; (It) reminds me of your eyes When you calmly said: "We've no more space for all your tired and dirty past." And I believe it all to be true, Beyond this time, you'll pull through. [Instrumental break] I woke up shaking, I'm not too late; 'cause I'm running back towards The space we met ... and laughed. You couldn't let me go, My breath had all gone out; When you said "Let's try." "We've no more space for all your tired and dirty past." And I believe it all to be true; Beyond this time, you'll pull through. "We've no more space for all your tired and dirty past." And I believe it all to be true; Beyond this time, you'll pull through. [Instrumental break] My lamp has almost burned; (It) reminds me of your eyes; When you calmly said: "We've no more space for all your tired and dirty past." And I believe it all to be true; Beyond this time, you'll pull through. "We've no more space for all your tired and dirty past." And I believe it all to be true; Beyond this time, you'll pull through. You'll pull through. |

| Immanu El – Lionheart Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
Sing me your words [oh Lord], I'm trembling of thirst. I hear your voice as the wind blows, as it's waving through the trees. I am spellbound (fascinated) by your unconditional love. Oh, [Lamb of God], blow my heart away. |

| Immanu El – ...In valleys Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
To seek the Lord. I will enter through the valley of the shadow of death ... to seek your silence, oh Lord. Though these things around me try to stop me, though they may try to blind me, I will pull through until I find you. (Just what I got out of it.) |

Cool sound, but the lyrics are weird. Bad singer/songwriter, awesome instrumentalists. |

| Anathema – Get Off, Get Out Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| I feel like they wrote this song just a filler for the album. | |
| Anathema – Presence Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| Hmm. Interesting. But where does God, our Father, play a role in this? | |
| Consider The Thief – The Lost Son Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
O my son, it seems years since you leave me to take up the staff and set out to your journey. (When? When are you coming home to me, my son? Through all the wrongs you've done, you'll always [be my son].) O my son, when the road has you weary, may all of your sins be as stones leading to me. Through all the wrongs you've done, (You'll always ... You'll always be my son.) you'll always be my son. (You'll always ... You'll always be my son.) Through all the wrongs you've done, the only records I keep are the days you've been away from home. (When are you coming home to me, my son, through all the wrongs you've done?) I light my lamps, unlock my doors, keep watch for you at night. I've set aside my robe and ring, until my son arrives. [Instrumental Break] What mystery that I, as young, should spend my fathers lot to be received by arms wide flung and greeted as a son. |

This song seems pretty straight-forward in its lyrics, But this is what I got out of it. The song is about a special someone to the person singing this song. He will try anything to find and be with the one he loves. The eastern winds, vessel, water, and whale are symbolism for obstacles he is willing to overcome to be able to find his love. He will try to get past these, even if it leads to his death. Sounds like true dedication to me. Wonderful, yet simple, song. |

| Thrice – Words in The Water Lyrics | 14 years ago |

WORDS IN THE WATER (Taken straight from the physical album I own) " Standing knee deep in cold water, swiftly moving, somehow I knew I'd lost something Wading waist-deep I saw a book there in the river, waiting for me to find it there. I tried to read it, neck deep, treading water, but the tide pulled me out to sea. Then, with water in my eyes, the words began to rise from their place. They were beautiful and dread; I reached for them and fed on each phrase. They were honey on my lips, but then a bitter twist in my side. I knew they'd lay me in my grave, "Is there no one who could save me?" I cried. Sinking, down deep through cold water and heavy silence, shadows stirring in the gloom. What things that lay sleeping down deep in the darkness woke then, to find me in my tomb? Then, with water in my eyes, the words began to rise from their place. They were beautiful and dread; I reached for them and fed on each phrase. They were honey on my lips, but then a bitter twist in my side. I knew they'd lay me in my grave, "Is there no one who could save me?" I cried. When I lost all hope to look, someone took that heavy book from my hands, all its weight they set aside, after they had satisfied its demands. I felt white and black reverse, and the lifting of a curse from my heart. Then like one receiving sight, I beheld a brilliant light in the dark. " "endlesvyd" was right-on when finding the meaning of the song. Guys, face the fact: Dusting writes a lot of his lyrics based on the Bible. But that's a good thing! |
