This song is beautiful from start to finish. Sometimes after a break up or a long lull in relationships you can convince yourself that its better to be alone. However, that moment when you rediscover what it's like to love someone is one of the best epiphanies you will come to know. |

This song is about how we are all grasping at straws for easy answers to life's questions. Sometimes that can cause us to lie to ourselves and others. At the end of the song she makes a seemingly sarcastic remark about the upcoming "Champagne year." In actuality anything can happen and you just have to make the best of the situation whatever it may be. There will never be a perfect solution and yet as problem solvers we usually find a way to keep on the right track. The song is somewhat melancholic but I'm sure everyone has answered "well/fine/good" to the "how are you?" question without really meaning it... and thats the tone of this song. |
