This is a great band.....this song is my fav by them......easily in my top 20 and i am old.....i still listen to this at least 1x a week........i love its spacey lyrics and great delivery......musically it is where i live |

I heard this song abt 2 yrs ago on satellite tv.....took abt a month for it to grab me....it hasnt let go and hope it dont....i have been listenin to stuff since the beatles...(never liked elvis) ///my favs were beatles/moody blues /zep/ Genesis-w/ Peter//The Clash///The Chameleons//Jesus and Mary Chain...never say i heard it all....but i think if it were great =i woulda heard it....this song is the (whats are the words?) =i have never loved a song as much or for as long
...lyrically it is coolly ambiguous.....musically....it is 1 exquisitely long aural orgasm.....it has all of the elements of my fav music.....i love it so much....i dont think i have ever heard any of their other songs.....at points in my life i have loved many songs...i had not up until this song ; been able to say which song was my favorite ever....i can now! |

i personally do not equate anything i consider brilliant with being depressing.....it may be heavy and depict an existence filled with challenges....but it doesnt have to be depressing....without down theres no up....no sweet without sour....no in without out...ok...im losin it a bit ///music may make me feel sad....but i see sad as a beautiful expression....in this case the words are cool= the realization of his existence and the challenges that he is compelled to face and prevail over...or die tryin......cool words.......but the music is godlike.......or just god |

I am amused to see this album/song is already over 7rs old.....I guess i fall in love 1 song at a time...this is the 4th time on this album. I heard it ...but didnt feel it until 2 weeks ago. I always dig their ambiguous and borderline nonsensical lyrics....but for me it will always be the music that touches me in that heartfelt way.....so buoyant and shifty.....makes me feel soo good...even when i dont. |
