In the live version (Comatose Comes Alive - live) he explains the song... He says it is about this girl (actually Korey Cooper - his wife) who comes to him one day with scars on her wrist (a suicidal attempt in fact) and tells him that she has been treated very badly by the parents and everything that goes wrong in their family is blamed on her and she doesn't want to live anymore and will kill herself. Then he gets a chance to give her God's word and preach the gospel to her and tell her how God loves her and if she accepts him, it will be the very last night she will ever spend alone. The song keeps ringing in my head! :) |

SkyExplosion, if you read the Bible, it says 'God chose the foolish to shame the wise'. This is what Skillet is trying to imply. The other lines mentioned say that when God touches our lives it leaves us dumb or in awe... It is about God being his obsission |

Well.... That meaning I have to contradict. Skillet, being a Christian rock band, sang this song for God. The lines 'I thirst.... pour out like water', are proof to the fact. Towards the end he also says, live and die in my obsession which means he wants to live and die for Christ, who is his obsession. Even the line 'I kiss your feet, worship the air you breathe', testify to the fact! I love Skillet!!! :) |
