| Pink Floyd – Empty Spaces Lyrics
|
what shall we use to fill the empty spaces where waves of hungar roar
shall we set out across this sea of faces in search of more and more and more applause
shall we buy a new guitar, shall we buy a more powerful car, shall we work straight though the night, shall we get into fights, leave the lights on, drop bombs,do tours of the east, contract disease, bury bones ,breakup homes, send flowers by phone,go to shrinks, give up meat, rarely sleep, keep people as pets, race dogs, train rats, fill the attic with cash, bury treasure, store up leasure, but never relax at all
with our backs to the wall
He should have included this. |

| Pink Floyd – Hey You Lyrics

I think this song is all about being alone, and he wants somebody to talk to him, and he is calling out to the audience. He wants somebody to help him escape and return to his old life. |

This song is about how you become a great person and you then turn bad and start doing things you hate, and you run away from home. |

| Green Day – Letterbomb Lyrics

|
When I listen to the song, "Letterbomb," I think of a boyfriend and a girlfriend, who break up, because they are fighting, and the boyfriend is cheating on his gf. The line, "I can't take this town, I'm leaving you tonight," is the girlfriend telling the boyfriend, that I had enough of your lies, and you cheat on me, and I wanted an honest relationship, and you went and cheated on me after how nicely I treated you. Its a break up letter, and a harsh one, because the boyfriend needs to learn how to stay loyal and not go after women, when he has this girl, who loves him very much, and who wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. |

| Green Day – Give Me Novacaine Lyrics

This song means to me that he doesn't want to do drugs and get high. I saw the musical "American Idiot," and right before the song starts Johnny says "Today for the first time, I got drunk! Thank you Saint Jimmy!!" He says before he sings the song, "I made friends mom, at camp!" We are taken to Iraq and we are in the middle of the war, and he gets his leg so injured they have to amputate it, and he sings this song, and he says "Johnny says its better then air." Its a powerful song! |

Holiday is about how screwed up we are. In "Bullet In a Bible," Billie Joe says "This next song is a BIG fuck you to all the politicians! This song's called HOLIDAY! This isn't anti-American! Its anti WAR!!" This has to do with George Bush and the war on terror. Its a great song! |

This song is about how the media take over our life. The lines, "Don't want a nation under the new media," and "One nation controlled by the media," says it all. Its also how angry we can get at America. |
