The way I see it, this song is about a chick who liked a certain guy who wasn't exactly liked by her friends, so she just hides how she really feels when she knows she has her chance. Then 5 years later she only thinks she's moved on with her life when all of a sudden this guy is in the spotlight, and now all of her friends have completely changed points of view. The thing is, now that the guy is famous and likable, she wants him back. She just can't have him back because by then, another girl already has him for herself. So of course she comes to regret not taking the risk 5 years earlier, when she could have had everything. This song is so relatable in my case. I've liked my best guy friend now for 7 months, but to my total disappointment, by then he'd already gotten himself a new girl, even though he admitted to liking me last summer. It makes me wish I could go back and change everything that happened between us back then, but the past is the past. You just can't. So the most I could do is let it out now and tell him how I really feel about him, and that's what I did. And to anyone who's going through the same thing I am now: take the risk. You never know whether it'll be worth it in the end. And if it isn't, then there's plenty of fish out in the sea (I would know). So don't be scared or hold back your feelings-- make your move before it's too late. Don't be like the girl in the song. |

This song is my anthem. It's pretty much about how you shouldn't stick a label on people just tell them to fuck off. Just cuz they're not hipsters like you, it doesn't mean you have to treat them like shit. Why does remind me of junior high.....? Anyway, this is what any lone emo, goth, geek, nerd, dork, whatever- would want to scream at the top of their lungs. |

I was in 7th grade when this song came out and that was when I used to really hype up Oasis. So my friend was really sick of hearing me talk about them when this song comes on the radio. So she comes at me the next day all, "hey I heard Oasis last night!" and since she had no idea what Oasis was I didn't believe it. But then she says, "do they have a song called Live Forever?" and I'm like "YEAH IT'S THEIR BEST SONG!!!!" and she was like "well they suck". it depresses me to know that she still has no idea what real music is..... :/ |

THIS BAND IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's pretty much about Brody Dalle, and.....yeah, that's about it. But I love that guitar solo! It's freaking brilliant! |

This song reminds me of this guy in my class. He used to have this thing for me, and then all of a sudden, he started bashing me when I did absolutely nothing to him at all. He thinks he's so impressive now (I'm a nerd ya know, and at my school jocks liking nerds is just unheard of), but he should take a frickin' look at himself first. "You're free to whine, it will not get you far" This line probably sums up what he (supposedly) thinks of me. He whines about everything and everyone and treats them all like pieces of shit. This includes me. Well him and his possy of jock morons should hear the second verse (: I swear to you, if I could sing this song directly to his face, I'd do it in a freaking heartbeat. |
