This song to me is for the younger adults/teenagers who go out partying all night and do a lot of drugs/alcohol. But afterwards they decide to drive home and this is when the bad comes upon them. "And this is how we realize the tragic prize of wasting time It doesn�t make sense if we die" It is the teenagers tragic price of wasting time from making those unchangeable decisions which caused their car accident. "Watch now, the sun is fading away" As the sun fades, the doomsday parties of alcohol and drugs rise all night long. This to me is what this song is implying: it is a warning to all the individuals who party, to remain safe in their own life. |

To me this is one of the most meaningful songs: I believe the song tells the story of an individual who is suffering from lust. The individual is saying "My eyes lie" which means he knows that what he lusts for is truly wrong and he wishes to cleanse himself. "A flaming desire for an innocent lust Can change a lifetime in a second of trust Can change the future, it'll turn out the light We'll never know if this was right My eyes lie" This speaks out to someone like a pedophile who has a flaming desire of an innocent lust, but as they give into their evil thoughts, this innocent lust they have can change a lifetime for them in a second of trust and they will be put behind bars. This will surely change the future and turn out the lights for the rapist who has made a terrible mistake. In the chorus, the singer is saying "Save me from my mind I never wanted to go down like this Why don't you save me From what's inside of me" The main character of this song's story knows he is a sinner and wants to be saved from his evil thoughts of lust. He truly doesn't want to act on them and is reaching out for forgiveness and help. A truly remarkable song! |

To me I believe this song tells the story of a suffering prostitute/or sex slave. "Face down, this the way you taught me to abide" - The sex slave or prostitute is being taught/forced to do actions they do not want to. "Down on my knees, I was just another servile bitch", This person (probably a female) is looking at her reflection, and comparing it to others (refereed to as servile bitches - other individuals in her same foot setps). "I realized I was a whore begging for security" This line here definitely reads out the true meaning of the song in my opinion. The chorus talks about the sex slave/prostitute disregarding everything in her own past life, being taught to her as a lie and to become everything she despises (such as continuing to do the dirty work even though she hates it) "Tremble, you bastards, I represent all that you dread It's so futile to think you can still control me" (You bastards) might be referring to a pimp who is controlling her or a client. The next verse then should make perfect sense: "Revenge will be hers" as she wont let herself be controlled anymore. "I shall wipe this burden out Victorious I will stand above the mundane shame you've forcefully trained me" The female is going to finally try and make a stand against the evil she has been placed in and will stand victorious. "I'll concede nothing and never forget all your deeds and cruelty Retribution is on the way, turning the war you've started into pure defeat " The now ex prostitute/sex slave who has escaped her worst nightmare will never forget what those men had forced her to do and the cruelty she was placed in. She will now stand up and turn the trafficking/prostitution system into pure defeat as it deserves to be... Well this is my interpretation of this fantastic and meaningful song by the epic Industrial band: Sybreed! |
