My quibble is minor, but I believe correct: "Pretend" should lead the second line, not end the first. [I am nothing without], [Pretend I know my thoughts]. I second TheWrongGirl's edit. And you're right about [Can] as opposed to [Can't]. As for [A man] vs. [Amend], it's most definitely [A man]. If it were [amend], it would be plural, not singular, and [A man] fits better within the context. |

| Funny how the title is so verbose for an instumental track. Sufjan is such an original in so many ways. | |
| Daniel Rossen – Waterfall Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| This is a Judee Sill cover which can be found on the Crayon Angel: A Tribute to the Music of Judee Sill record. Other covers by Final Fantasy, Bill Callahan etc. I love this cover in particular because it sounds like a Daniel Rossen original, through and through. That either means he did an amazing job on the cover, and/or Sill has been a great influence on his own work. | |

| Bowerbirds – Stitch The Hem Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| I feel like this song is generally about making the most of your preciously limited time on earth, making do with the gifts given you, and wanting nothing more but to live and to cherish each moment. | |

All I want is it all stretched out [To] the tattered edge Find the light in our [time here, given.] Find the [depth in our heart's intention.] [Like the starch in the patient seed.] |

Bradford - in a recent Interview with Pitchfork - talking about holing up in his hotel room after a grueling Deerhunter tour, and feeling miserable: "I think I wrote 'Terra Incognita' after that experience. That song was written in this real strange, feverish night." http://pitchfork.com/features/interviews/8707-bradford-cox/ |
