I just discovered this song a week ago, and showed it to a friend, but without discussing the lyrics directly, we actually had a conversation and while teasing each other, acknowledged that when you are a "thinking" type of person (as opposed to the beer-guzzling mindless drones that make up most of society), you especially take offense to someone who's not willing to listen to your thoughts. I think this is very similar to what you said and I agree *slightly*, a "gun" person is not superior to a fist person, the likeness to gun/fist flips during conversation, but it is important to pay attention to people's points so you can acknowledge their point of view and you don't want to ignore the gun if you are a fist in an intellectual 'fight'. |
