One of the best rock songs ever written! The lyrics are so crushingly sad and the music so beautiful that you sit in awe of its depth. Giant, so underrated, being called a "hair band," was, for all intents and purposes, the finest collection of writers and musicians hard rock has seen. Dan Huff's guitars are amazing, his vocal range is vast and his song-writing talents prodigious. I know they still play, every once in a while, but the hard rock world MISSES YOU GUYS!! |

I've lived this song. It's a very sad thing to see someone you once loved move away from you, ever so slowly, until they are merely just another person in your life with whom you occupy space. This song made me relive those moments when I should have opened my mouth and met the fear of rejection that might have come with it. The lyrics are so beautifully crafted that I, like many of you guys, cried like a baby, once the impact of the song set in. That fear of staying silent and the consequence of loss, however, has led me to not repeat that same mistake. I let my loved ones know, as often as I can, these days, how much they mean to me and how much I love them. One of DT's most poignant, heartfelt songs I've heard in a long time!! |
