This song is where it's at. Sure, they speak about grabbing some welfare checks, but they do it to enjoy life. Smoking some blunts, getting drunk, eating = celebration of life!!! Look at the brighter side of this, people. Just listen to the beat, too. Relax, have a good time, and enjoy the good music. |

That's the best you can come up with, aeriedreams? Ah, better to ignore your comment. incubusownsall12 nailed the song's meaning.... well, at least, that's how I see it also. But I don't know... I think he was "empty handed" when he carried her weight, but did not find its importance. He struggled with the decision of letting it go, until he was finally able to. Definitely a great song that should make Ben Kenney more famous than he is right now. |

This is absolutely one great song.... I'm surprised there aren't any comments on this!! Well, I've listened to this song everyday for the past few months, and it never gets tiring. The chorus is sweet. No, the whole song is sweet. Better than sweet. Amazing. After finally reading up the lyrics, I believe (yes, my own interpretation) this song's about coming back together after cooling off in a relationship. I think this is when you realize why you fought, and now you just can't wait to come back and leave whatever happened in that fight behind. It's all about the chemistry both of you create, and that's what motivates you to come back. The last few lines "When we almost die, but we still survive in the end" is about the relationship in a different light, and I think it basically means that you have to go through all of this struggle so that you can strengthen your relationship with your loved one. |
