I think this song is cat and mouse horror story. It throws you in and makes you fill in the blanks. Every screamed line and verse is a twisted serial killer hunting down a girl who stumbled onto his property. He's very sarcastic, like "Goddamn! I'm no killer", sounds like he's almost mocking the girl as he tracks her down. Now what I like to think is it's two people, prom dates if you will, that get plastered and wander onto this crazy fuck's land. He's primarily interested in the girl, as he doesn't mention the guy, who in turn is the one that is singing the chorus' lines. He's trying to calm the girl down while they're on the run. Everything falls into place after that, but I think there's prolly more than one bad guy, since they use we and they a lot. Think Straw Dogs, I Spit on your Grave, or Last House on the Left. Now what's really cool to me is that the last chorus is cut short, and the final verse is the "Oh my, my! Oh hell yes!", like the killer(s) got them in the end. When he first says that verse, it's like foreshadowing, or almost mockery. I like the party dress line, because that has some seriously cool imagery. Also, when he is screaming during the choruses, he's being sarcastic IMO. That's my opinion, and I think I'll stick with that because there's not enough songs like this. |

| Well, I don't like that interpretation, but, I respect it. I think it's simpler, and the confusing lyrics throw you off. They are from Buffalo, NY. I am as well. I think it's about all the superficial girls girls that live here. He probably has known some bad ones as I have as well and been in bad relationships like in the song itself. It really reflects on all the girls here like that. Although many girls are not like that because we are like the midwest here, people just have more to them, unlike L.A. or NYC. | |
