I've listened to it many times and I think the line is "I dream of you, but they're not the sweet kinds.", though that doesn't seem to be on any of the lyrics websites. And also "We're at the start" not "We rip the start." The meaning?: Well, this song is obviously about Katniss Everdeen. My specific interpretation? It is about who Katniss has become and specifically, wanting to kill President Snow. That was a major motivation of hers for much of Mockingjay. She previously only killed because she thought she had no choice, now she WANTS to kill someone. "The fire's found a home in me." This is a song about that darkness. |

| @[sophiecissylunarose:6377] and another thing to clarify, what is telling to me is the emotion with which the song is sung. It doesn't sound taunting, it sounds full of agony and longing. Which is why I am fairly certain it is about wanting your loved ones to be safe and return to you. | |

I really think it is Katniss's mother watching the games. She feels pain and is kind of willing Katniss to do certain things to survive; she wishes she could communicate to her but she can't, she is telling Katniss, find a place to hide, run fast, don't worry about what the others think, don't fret I'll be waiting for you when you return. "Fly high across the sky from here to kingdom come Fall back down to where you're from" She's willing Katniss to survive, and walking the edge of panic at seeing her in the Games. |

| When I heard the song, I thought of redemption and the mystery of rejoicing in the midst of pain and fear. After I read the lyrics through closely, I thought of the Holocaust and the narrator as a regretful Nazi. It could apply to other similar situations though. Anyway, a beautiful haunting song. | |
