This is exactly what I am going through. I was a rebound to a girl whom I was friends with. It started off fairly casual but then feelings started to come out. My feelings for her were so much stronger, and she decided we should not be in a relationship but be friends. My feelings never faded and she wanted to date other people. So now I hold on to a love I thought was there but it never really bloomed into what I had hoped. Now she is dating others and it's tearing me apart and she probably has no idea how much it is hurting me and how much she can do to me without even trying. |

I think this song is about a patsy. This guy was like Lee Harvey Oswald. He was set up to do a job but now he realizes that he was used for a bigger purpose and now he has to figure out how to get out of the situation. "Sirens in my head" are the bells going off in his mind now that he has finally figured out what is really going on. |
