I believe this song means that he feels like this person is everything he has always dreamed for in a love 'if you weren't real I would make you up,' but that he is afraid. ‎'We're made out of blood and rust looking for someone to trust, without a fight.' He has been burned in the past, and he may feel like he wants to commit but his fear is holding him back. This love has appeared out of nowhere 'I think that you came too soon,' and now that it's real he doesn't know how to react. |
