Like most boys at his age this young man is infatuated with this LA Girl. She is bigger than life to him or really just a fantasy. So much for the beginning puberty and the male sex drive. One of the interesting lines is where he questions about does anybody love like I love you. This is his indulgence of his feelings for her and he does not understand why everybody else does not feel the same way. I am sure a lot kids have felt this way about one of their teachers. Such a fun age to be alive. |

What Sammy is telling us love can happen anytime at any place, even if you do not realize it until it has actually occurred. The alien metaphor maybe a little strange yet realizing you are in love with someone is also strange. And yes the strings will make you do things that you never done otherwise.
