This song makes me think of Media and how corrupt it is and I also see it as someone be bullied. "Over and over and over again, we play the same old game- " I see that as we fall for the same trap and we build up a mask and cover up who we really are, secrets and all. "Now you know you can go, you can give up trying- " Basically I see it as you should have stopped listening to everybody else and the media and then you wouldn't be dead or "destroyed" My rambling probably makes no sense lol |

| "I just learned that my fate is something I cant escape" I see this as a reference to actual FATE. The band ETF the title stood for escaping fate and Ronnie may have tried to escape FATE, but just like Karma, Fate came back and bit him in the ass. | |

“I am my fathers son,” Being compared to his father, he is his fathers child, said to be similar to him. “All the mirrors they don't lie” Can see the resemblance between him and his father. Mirror's don't hide anything, shows you just the plain utter truth. “Im sick to death of looking through these eyes” He doesn't like what hes seeing, he wants to be someone else? “Take my teeth and spread them across the floor, so everyone can see this smile. “your tickets please?” It'll be five dollars at the door...” Not really smiling, possibly a fight between him and his father ? “Help! “nurse nurse quick I think it's happening again.” Asking for help, starting to sink once again. “This hole inside my chest that keeps on caving in.” Whats left of his heart just keeps caving in, never healing. “All the white pills they aren't doing a damn thing,” Given pills to 'solve' his depression don't do anything good for him. It doesn't bring him out of his rut. “But making me ok, with ending everything.” The pills are only making him sink worse, it's making him think that everything will be better if he just ends it. “Hey don't you think?” I think this is a 'don't you agree with me, the pills do shit. Doesn’t it just make you feel worse?' “Hey! Hey! Hey! I know it's all inside my head,” The problem is no longer there physically, it's just all in his head, memories and thoughts battling. “I fight like every day. It's always Me vs. Him.” He fights the problems in his head, it always him against either his dad or his other side... his depressed side. I personally feel it's both. “A never ending battle, to keep on living.” It's a battle, as said that never ends. Fighting to have the will to stay alive. “Shallow breathing, please get off my chest.” The problems are like a weight on him, he wants them gone so he can breath. “It's growing, where do I turn? Never knowing, Where do I turn? Where do I turn!” The depression is just growing and he never really knows where to go, where to turn. It's a never ending, never answered question. “Dancing death right behind the door, the corpses masquerade! That's what I said...” Behind the one 'door'[metaphorical] there’s his death, that’s why he calls for help. “Nurse nurse etc” “Just take this bottle turn it upside, and drink down all the liquid until the pain waters down.” Using alcohol to 'wash' the pain he's feeling away. Or until he can't feel most of it. “Just wash the pain and pills away, until my breath starts to fade, and my hope is gone” Drink till there's no pain, no need for pills, till there's no life left within him. Till ALL of his hope has vanished. “I've got a toe tag, and I'm six feet deep!” He's dead./ feels dead inside “I swear to god everything will be okay, I promise y friends things will be just fine. I swear to god! I promise!” Even with all this shit, he said everything would be okay some how one day, he promised his friends that he's was just fine. “Nurse nurse etc” “All the white pills they aren't... All the white pills they aren't... Doing a damn thing! I still fall asleep.” He still died/ He still feels dead inside. |

| Personally I think this song was purposely suppose to sound arrogant. When he was with ETF and on drugs he probably was arrogant because he probably thought he had everything and nothing to lose. With out even purposely trying to think that way. Then when he lost everything and his best friends turned and a guy he had respect for started taking some shit, he had anger and everything. This song definitely shows he's back and that he's a new man. It's kind of like this is the chance to get all that arrogance out and begin with the passion of his music. Also have to remember this is the first album, it's going to be about all the feelings and emotions he felt when he truly spiraled out of control and landed himself in prison. It's going to be about what his fan's saw and said. Songs are stories, songs are memories, songs are life and most important songs are emotions, past, present and future. So again, I personally think and have a small gut feeling this was purposely fueled with arrogance, just show how he felt at first with that anger. | |
