| Probably because when I first heard this song, I was going through this situation, I interpret it a little differently. To me, it sounds like a man who is involved with someone that everyone says is not good for him (all the people who think they can save him). But he doesn't want to let her go, because he can't, or he's afraid, or he enjoys being miserable. So the people in his life keep trying to pull him out, but eventually, they give up and leave. | |
