This song is definitely not a love song. This sounds like Thurston giving advice to a young girl who might be a cousin. He can probably give her this advice because he might have gone through something similar as a boy. He is blunt and sincere. The girl is probably an insecure outcast which shows how Thurston might feel sorry for her but knows she is 'cool' and doesn't deserve to be treated badly by the superficial and 'normal' kids at her school. |
