| Thanks for the compliment! The more I listen to this song, the more references I pick up, until it starts to describe a mental picture to me. It seems that the genesis of this particular incident was someone distracting the protagonist at a critical time (perhaps by asking "What's a Sleestak?") leading to the explosion. | |

Ok, time for you amateurs to take a seat. First: Sleestaks are the lizard race from the Land of the Lost TV series. Go check that out now. Definitely a song about a drug lab exploding (meth? coke?). Cloissone is an art form that requires a powdered enamel coating to be applied before kiln-firing an object. So let's assume a similarity between a pottery oven and the stoves required to manufacture drugs. Now layer in the elements regarding "business", "mind your business", "law enforcement", raining pain, exploding craft, choking on the dust, etc. By the time we get to Sleestaks and the other psychadelic imagery, the protagontist has inhales or otherwise absorbed enough of the drug to FREAK HIM OUT. Can't quite place the three blind cats reference yet. :) |
